What’s the difference between Squids & Cuttlefish?
Squid are fast-moving predators, where cuttlefish are slower and move by undulating long fins on the sides of their bodies. They are cousins of the Octopus!

Texture
The meat is firm and white with a mild, slightly sweet, almost nutty flavor.

Approximately 2-5 whole pieces, but actual number of pieces will depend on the weight.

Cooking Methods

Sotong is a versatile seafood that can be used as an compliment or served as a main dish in many cuisines.

Favourite method is Grilling (Indonesian panggang style) or BBQing with sambal to savour the best of this sotong.

It is a must-have ingredient for the local favourite Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee.

You can also stuff the sotong with minced meat and cook with a variety of homemade sauces.
